WELCOME TO LUMINOS CHOIR

Luminos is a community choir based at the Lighthouse and is open to anyone who loves to sing. The choir is led by Sammy Hurden who encourages a friendly atmosphere as well as aiming for everyone to make good music together!

The repertoire is varied and includes songs that are uplifting, soulful, fun or sometimes challenging… whether they come from folk, jazz, musical or pop styles, Sammy arranges the songs to suit the choir. She also includes her own material and is currently writing a song cycle for Luminos. All the songs are taught by ear, so there is no need to read music, although sheet music is often provided for those who do.
